Outdoor & Patio Inspiration (for a season in the sun)

outdoor inspo.jpg

The more time I spend outside while renovating the cottage, the more I start to imagine the potential of the exterior! I know we still have some time until we get landscaping and decorating the outdoor space but I can imagine a lush green yard filled with flowers, a beautiful wooden table underneath a pergola surrounded by lemon and olive trees. Maybe even a stone walkway leading up to a fire pit illuminated by string lights… the possibilities are endless! I’ve been looking for inspiration pictures and creating mood boards for what I expect the cottage outdoor space to look like and maybe it can inspire an outdoor project of your own.

PATIO MOMENTS I’M LOVING

The courtyard/patio will definitely be a space to entertain my friends and family. I want plenty of seating including, accent chairs, a dining area, and of course a fire pit! I am loving the inspiration behind these backyard moments.

PLANT’S I’M LOVING

I know I want MANY MANY plants at the cottage, lol. My main source of inspiration at the moment is a New Orleans-style courtyard with lush ferns & whispy foliage. Some other must-have’s I want are a garden with flowers and lemon & olive trees. There are already so many trees outdoors, I can just imagine it being a green oasis.

I absolutely love the gray shade of olive trees and how they can beautifully compliment other greenery and plants.

A lemon tree pergola, maybe? Lemon trees are a definite must in the outdoor area since they are easy to maintain and naturally provide a pop of color to the yard.
