2021 Home Decor Trends I’m Loving

Some coveted home decor trends are fading as others are on the rise as we rethink the way our homes function and feel. 2020 gave us a new perspective on what our homes really NEED to be. For most of us, that means multi-functional as we live and work from home. Also, comfortable as we binge-watch shows on Netflix instead of going outside. Here are some 2021 Home Decor Trends I am LOVING right now.

A Modern Traditional Style

The added time spent at home has left us craving a more comfortable, calming decor style. A modern twist on the traditional style can give us just that with removable slipcovers for durability, plush oversized furniture for comfort, and light yet warm color palettes for calmness. If you haven’t watched Studio McGee’s Dream Home Makeover series on Netflix … you should!!

Arches

I am obsessed with arched EVERYTHING - arched windows, arched doors, arched mirrors, arched entryways…! They add such a calmness and fluidity to a space.

Rich Earthy Hues

You guys know I’m not big on bold color in my own decor, but I love rich, earthy tones! Think rich colors that can be found in nature - deep green, terra cotta, sand, mustard, rust…! Just like last year, I think the color green will make more of a statement in decor this year!

Wallpaper

Even though I think we will regret this in a few years I’m into wallpaper, especially in smaller spaces! A statement pattern or colorful wallpaper can totally transform a small powder bath and add some character! Also, peel-and-stick wallpaper is such a renter-friendly way to make a rental feel more designed, you can simply remove it when you move out!

Natural Imperfect Finishes

I’m all about natural, raw, and imperfect everything when it comes to decor. Think hand-cut tile, restored pine flooring and vintage art. For me it makes a home feel more lived-in and cozy.
